About me

Dr Marco Pisaniello

“I have worked in leading cardiology centres in Italy and abroad: experience I now draw on to care for patients of all ages, from children to adults.”

I am a paediatric and adult cardiologist. After graduating in medicine from San Raffaele University, I specialised in cardiology at the University of Milan, working at the IRCCS Istituto Clinico Humanitas in Rozzano and the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato; I then trained further in echocardiography at the Hospital Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona. Since 2020 I have been part of the cardiology team at the Policlinico di Milano.

Consultations are available in English, Italian and Spanish. For many people living in Milan, being able to describe their symptoms in their own language makes a real difference.

Symptoms

  • Shortness of breath with activities that used to be easy
  • Palpitations or an irregular heartbeat
  • Dizziness or fainting
  • Swollen ankles

Risk factors

  • High blood pressure or high cholesterol
  • Diabetes, smoking, excess weight
  • Heart disease in the family
  • Taking up strenuous exercise
  • Menopause or blood pressure problems in pregnancy

Emergencies: in case of severe or persistent chest pain, sudden shortness of breath or fainting, do not wait for an appointment: call 112.
